Didn't see your last post sorry, jumping in feet first again.LOL Edited March 17, 2009 by MR TEA POT Quote Link to post
jakepotjo 3
i spoke to my fire arms a few weeks back explaned that i was going to set up vermin control ect and that i will be cage traping foxes i told them some will be in public gardens ect and i would like to apply for a 22 pistol to humanly dispatch the fox in the cage they said that with the reson and under the sercamstances yes i would be allowed i asked more info and vets use them and i know hunt terrier men have them they asked why not use the rifle i simply said it is hard to monuver in a cage to get a safe shot they asked how a pistol would be diffrent this was my ansewer while i have the fox in the trap i will use a simler home made divice the rspca use to hold animals round the neck to keep them under control i will noos the fox around the neck pull to the top of the trap and shoot it point blank in the head for a clean humain kill the reson i ask for the pistol was because can you imagen doing it with a rifle one hand holding the pole that is holding the fox the other up in the air with the rifle you would not have safe control over your shot were as the use of a pistol would have 100% control and safty ther ansewer was this will be a 100% yes mr ? ? send us your certificat and we will grant you the pistol so you see a lergitimate safe reson for something a nice politly spoken individual can get any were in life atb hope you get one Quote Link to post

spiderpig 39
i had one, a good reason is also to shoot min k in traps. a shotgun will cause richchey ect (spelling) then if you say mink you can then ask for a multi shot as the mink move so fast the thought of it laying there mortally wounded while you re load ect ect ect, only trouble is they f**k with the rifleing an bore out the end so you cant hit shit over 10 yrds away, good bit of kit though i shot all sorts with myn, hundereds of pigs even some big boars and sows but your better with the 12 for them.a 32 pistol is also a good option thn you can shoot anything you need to do in the future, myn cost £250.00 and they are about the same price allover. york guns will source you one Quote Link to post

spiderpig 39
if its put across corectly should be no problem,2 lads i know have just got them for humane dispatch of any wounded deer as they are stalkers Quote Link to post
spiderpig 39
oh also you can get a revolver dirty harry type with the long barrel and a lump of wire coming off the handle rather like a arm brace and they are classed as a rifle as the overall lenth is that of the minimum for a rifle, dont ask the firearms officer just state your reasons and apply Quote Link to post
shaun sale 0
its all about how you ask for it mate .i know apew people with them.dont be put off by what people are saying to you .people do have them and do get them.their is just certain regs like any other firearms ask for a ruger 38 special.i love the 1 i use Edited March 18, 2009 by shaun sale Quote Link to post
trappa 518
Its all down to the area mate. Some forces wont grant them for love nor money while others are more flexible. Its silly really, a rifle is just as deadly as a pistol but not as easy to hide, period. If they trust you enough with a rifle then surely your trustworthy enough with a pistol?!? Im sure if joe "psycho" bloggs was to go apeshit he could kill more in a frenzy with a high powered rifle than a pistol where you cant hit jack shit over 30 ft. Quote Link to post

Iv also shot horses with one and had the bullet come out the neck. As has been said its all down to the police force, I know hunt terrier men who cant get one of their own but can use the hunts under the huntsmans supervision while Hampshire let me have 3, two .22's and a .32.
