Col, I know what you're thinking, someone to put nets over the holes and pack them away when done.

What hunting experience do you have? what sex of ferrets are your working ones? are you fit ( i mean fit enough to climb steep hills lol ) do you have ferret locators and collars?

we have been taking cam out for the last couple of months,no charge for diesel, feeding him every weekend, taking him onto prime land, lads that have been doing the ferts for 30 years, trying to teach him,all free of charge, its nice to know we are no longer required, after all the effort my mates have put into it for, him, well some one else can pick him up run him around, feed him,and good luck at trying to teach him,ian

If that's the script it's bad craic on Cameron's behalf...maybe he'll explain why he's asking to be took out when he's already had a good run on your permission Ace for the last couple of months??? :hmm:

Cameron is a 14-year-old boy with learning difficulties. There are some things that he cannot grasp as easily as other people of the same age.

Ace has been really good to Cameron in helping him to get out ferreting when he had no one to take him. Before anyone makes a judgement on Ace he has really put himself out to help the boy. Unfortunately Cam cannot understand that what he has done is ethically wrong. I am sure that this can be overcome quite amicably.

Why has there been such a big issue made by Ace if you offer to take someone out you dont moan about the effort you went too to do it. Im sure that Cameron appriciates what Ace has done for him. If the lad wants to get help off someone else so what it shows that he want to learn as much as he can. And as for the fact of his disabilities i don t think it should have been made public on this site. I would expect that Cameron would feel pretty upset if he has read the post put on here and feel let down by Ace as i am sure he did his best whilst out with Ace and his mates.

Hey Cameron. I know a fellow that will take you out for the whole day for 50 quid. It also includes teaching you everything you need to know about ferreting and more. If you want to know more PM me and I will pass you on the details.

Fifty quid? You're taking the Michael aren't you?

The satisfaction of passing on knowledge to somebody keen to learn should be enough reward.

No, I am not. I am not lucky enough to know any responsible hunters around the area but the one and that is his rates. Not mine. I didn't set the rates. Yes, I agree it should be free but who am I to say what people should and shouldn't charge. :)
