Ive noticed a lot of hare dogs have whippet bred into them ive seen some good dogs over the years and a good proportion of the better ones well the ones that stood out had a bit of whippet in their back breeding by rights this should help with turning and exceleration whats your lads views on this? and if any of you have had hare dogs bred this way how did they perform and what percentage of whippet were they?

for the fens i wouldnt use a dog with whippet close in its makeup, fr smaller land it may even help the dogs performance, there have been some good dogs with whippet in there breeding but the whippet blood was that far back i dont think it would of come through.

 

Thats just the dogs i have seen , maybe some of u lads no of dogs that have the whippet blood closer to dog itself , mother , grand mother , coursing = the fens to me and a dog heavy with whippet blood would strugel .
