catching cats

hi lads after catching a few cats in my cage trap but cant seem to catch rest of them seems like they are now trap shy any ideas how to overcome this and what bait do ye use

FAT from stock worked well for me.

If there is a few living together and they have seen the others getting caught, your best bet would probably be to leave them alone for a bit and let them forget.

i caught a cat last week in a mink trap baited with some rabbit, have caught them in larson traps with mr magpie and in fox trap also baited with rabbit, and not the intended prey i was looking for.
