bracken28 0
After having my ferreting dog stolen last month, ferreting was the last thing i had on my mind. A few weeks ago i got my nine year old girl a russell type dog,{ its took her two years worth of begging and pleading}. He's just short of a year old and aint seen much yet, So set of nice and early just a few ferrets, a russell and my lurcher pup to a small farm just near us Set the long net around a nice size warren that the russell liked the smell of entered the ferrets and stood back. After 15-20 minutes heard a little screaming and as half expected a small bunnie with jill attached. Nearly 15minutes had past and in that time we watched as 6 very small bunnies slipped from one hole to the next, with that we gathered the team picked up the net and moved on. Got to a nice 8 holer, the lurcher pup and terrier showing a good deal of{someone home} on their faces, set the purse nets, entered the two small jills and we stood back with the dogs. One sneaky rabbit shot out of an un-netted bolt hole{typical} but my little girl see it and let her terrier go just at the right time. One in the bag{little girl rubbing it in my dog got that dad}Lol.. After another ten minutes another is nicely pursed with the smallest jill trying her up most to drag it back down below. Gave them another ten minutes or so before picking up and going home.{little girl hungry and in need of the loo.} Not like little boys are they..Lol. She wanted me to put some pics up and said when can we go again. So i'm well pleased to have another young one learning the ropes. All the best bracken28. Quote Link to post
