bigwig 0 Posted March 14, 2009 Report Share Posted March 14, 2009 i picked up a 3 yr old short legged black lab today i am wanting her to work with my new red tail hawk i am getting later in the year and also a bit of shooting. i got her from a man he said that she has worked with a hawk before and is great with the gun but has not been out for about 12 months or so due to the owners ill health, i took her out today for the first time just for a walk, she seems to know a few basic commands, sit, stay fetch ect but i dont think she is as advanced in her training as the man said. i am only realy wanting her for a bit of bushing, she seems to retrieve ok and is very keen. i am after a bit of advice on what type of excersie's i can do with her to increase her bushing and all round behavour, also what good books i could get to read up on any help would be great many thanks bigwig Quote Link to post
