went out yesterday for a mooch ,had a course on something, dogs had a drink from trough after and tday both r coughing, spoke to farmer and he said he is organic so no sprays used anyone had similar or got any ideas ?

It could be kennel cough which is highly contagious ,because there are several strains its difficult to guard against ,Benylin is as good as anything.

if it was a big ears and the dogs might of got some hair in there throats my dog always gets it, will go naturally if left but could be kennel cough.

Just a thought as last poster said it could be some flick from whatever was chased got down their throats . Another possibility ,are the dogs" pullers"? Sometimes they can bruise their throats pulling on their collars when something jumps. Kennel cough is a dry hacking cough,if they are just coughing normally try glycerin and honey ,syringed or trickled down their throats for a few days and leave off the bones for awhile they might aggravate the problem.ATB

just keep an eye on dog pal as i had my golly x honey pup down here in cornwall while im contracting and was running him one evening and he started coughing, thought nothing at the time just gave him cough syurp but he got lungworm which im told is very common in south west, spent 3 days in vet and died, he went from being uncontrobale livley pup to not wanting to exersize or anything. im not saying your dogs has it but i lost a very promising pup and was gutted, hope he's ok. atb, keith

If it's kennell cough, close windows in bathroom run a hot bath and let the bathroom steam up put the lurchers in the bathroom for half hour a couple of times a day. the steam help's their throat's. worked for my terrier's.
