12v 17 amp battery from an alarm shop should be about £40, you should get a small box of mixed 15 amp connectors to wire up to the batt, an old backpack to carry the batt in. just use a normal car battery charger for charging but DONT let it over charge.

TOTAL = about £145 with a striker, spend a bit more on the lamp and get the variable

if i was you get a striker, around £60/£65 they should be, then get a yuasa 17 amp battery they last around 5 hours on a striker and only about 2 maybe 3 hours if you lamp like me LOL but if your scanning fields thinking wet grass is a rabbits eye then your looking at the hour and half mark, back to the topic, better off waiting till the gamefairs/shows you can walk round and price them up all in 1 day and always go back to the cheapest, p.s like people say 18 amp battery this and that it dont go by the amp always it goes by the make of the battery my 17 amp yuasa lasts alot longer then some 18 amps which i very much doubted but its true, also cluelite do good batterys il try and find out the shitty ones iv used and let you know, no rush im sure now the warmer months are comeing in if your not in a rush by the end of the summer youll easy pick 1 up for £90 all in i bet, i payed £20 for my yuasa 17 amp and £50 for my blitz and red filter second hand but hardly used...alot of people sell them yuasas on here for £20/£25 im sure if you pay postage theyll sell one to you unless someone local can sort it ?
