Which air pistol

Hi All

Hoping to get a new or (second hand) air pistol for plinking and a backup weapon when hunting, any advise on which one to get, previously own a smith & wesson co2, looked at the hw45 seems a very good gun, but, a bit expensive....

you want an air or co2 gun? I think the most powerfull co2 is the sheridan eb22 (prohunter). Id talk to timelord about them as hes got a pimped out one.

Can i ask why you need one for finishing of when hunting. I dont really see much point, its much easier just to point blank it with your rifle if it isnt quite dead.

The EB22's a top bit of kit. I've used one as a back-up for a long time and it's never let me down. Dead simple and reliable and plenty fun for plinking.

I recon a rat buster, it is a good capable pistol straight out of the box, and you can also trick it right up with better parts off of e bay, just watch out for the bigger valves they sell, they put it at well over the pressure limit

Your right Hughesey they are the most powerful pistol on the market, the HW 45 comes a close second but the Sheridan pistol can be customised to the hilt. Just have a look in my sig and do a search on the forum for related threads....

The point is sometime you dont get a ture kill every time.So is you have a good pistol you can dispatch your quarry quickl as possible.

Thats my point reloading my rifle is a lot quicker than getting out a pistol and you can dont have to move to dispatch it.

Hi mate i do a lot of roost shooting and in small woods .If i dont have the dog with me and dont get a clean kill .The last thing i want to do is be running throught arrow of branches Whit a £700.00 gun and scope.Leave the the gun and dispatch the quarry with a good pistol.atb catcher
