spiderpig 39
its hard to explain do a search on here as i did a diagram not long since, make as long as you possibly can, wrap all joints in plastic, surround with stone for drainage if you can, cement joints in bed if you can, make beds same size as a 3x2 slab as use this as floor, sides i block and 1 brick high,3x2 slab roof covered in plastic with a foot of earth, plastic dous work but half fill with soil to stop echo.make sure enterances are below ground level and facing away from prevailing wind.if make of plastic use pot for the ends Quote Link to post
jack crowley 5
im planning to put a few i round my way would be a handy spot for young dogs .i have a lash of patio slabs around would they be any good for the top of the burrow and stantard blocks for the sides Quote Link to post
staffadale 0
i have tryed a new one this this time in a P shape with 2 ovens or dens in it 1 half way round the loop and a small lid right where it joins the straight pipe again. its a bit of a fiddle with concrete pipes but should be worth it. some people like to use plastic pipes but i have found that i have had alot more out of concerte piped artificals than the plastic piped ones. i also find that the concrete ones seem to always hold the smell of a fox yet the plastic ones never seem to smell at all and when a dog travels up a concrete pipe its not very noisey yet when you listen to a dog travel up a plastic pipe its a hell of a racket. what im trying to say is concrete pipes are the best to use as they hold scent better whitch in turn will attracted more foxs in and i are nice and quite for mr fox to creep in as i shouldnt think they like slideing about up the plastic pipes Quote Link to post
OldNog 432
does anyone know of any builders merchants that sell the concrete pipe at a reasonable cost? Cant find none lying about at the moment Quote Link to post
