rearing my own pig

Hi lads I have a 50 yards x 50 yards chicken run. the wire is only 4 1/2 foot high chicken wire. I only have three chickens in there so there is room for something else. what type of fencing would i need to put around the enclosure to keep the pig in? would sheep fencing do? advice please. also would this size enclosure be big enough?

we kept a pig for slaughter a way years ago when i was a cub.... i hope you like pork

we were eatin f****n bacon and pork and whatever else you can pull from a pig every day for about 6 feckin months

there was nothin worse than eatin your fill at dinner only to wake up to bacon for breakfast and then bacon sandwiches for lunch

we kept ours in a concrete pen mate so i'm not really sure but i would say if you posted the fence and put a strand of barb round the middle of it you should be ok

i'm tryin to recall mate but i think it was over 8 months old... the mistake we made was that it was fed on spuds and meal... we were left with more fat than meat at the end of it...

mum says a pig isnt hard to keep in, and your pig should fair well out in the field... they do do a bit of hokin and messin around but i dont think you should have any bother with a good tight fence... i strand of barb wire about knee high around it would probably stop him stickin his snout through it???
