harrycatcat 31
how much are chickens as i was thinking of getting some and what do i feed them on do they need any special requirements? I have just enquired today and "standard brown layers" as he called them are £8.00 locally and they eat layers pellets he said. His fancy coloured hens are more. Have a look at his website. http://www.littlemortonfarm.co.uk/

leegreen 2,221
Cost between £2.50 and £15 depending on breed and the special requirements are food, water, shelter and fox proofing .
aaronpigeonplucker 32
about £4-£6 for most of the laying breeds and you feed them on layers pellets and scraps from the kitchen. you can also get a feww eaters wich are cheaper
