In Birmingham meat and Fish market ,you can buy goat tripe, burgers ,and sausage,they even sell there feet,one stall sells the intestines that have been cooked and pressed like pigs belly.

i lived in zanzibar for a while and we ate alot of goats. i think they are good as long as they are cooked right, make sure you soak the meat of older ones and then stew or curry them. We never hung them as it was too hot but that might help soften them but also maybe give them a stronger flavour?

 

The taste of the meat can also be affected by what they eat, some of the african ones have a tendency to eat newspaper which makes them taste very strange. We still ate them though :yes:

 

i definately prefer them to rabbit but as everyone else has said the younger the better and big old billies are probably best for dog food.

great info people,i am going to take a walk minus the gun soon and see the lie of the land,then i'll work out the best approach.Im looking forward to it even more now, :clapper: I have permission to park the car in a farmers yard away from roads etc,also was told its full of deer too.roll on next winter?I wonder what they'll taste like after munching on the best of grass etc.I hate curries so theyre defo out but I'll experiment :icon_redface:
