if a theif knows you have a good dog and they want it, then not much will deter it.... however a common theif, who just wants a quick "lift" and quick £££ then he can be deterred by high hedges, obtacles that will make noise (bottle bins etc) anti climb paint etc.... & other common detterents, then the common theif will look for an easier lift

they will just come back with rubber gloves, or find yor battery & disconnect it... Mains voltage, however. is more difficult to disconnect ;)

i think the only thing you can do is make it as hard for them as you can at whatever expense if the dogs mean that much witch i no they do then you have to give it back to them in money well spent.. look at your garden an think like a thief. how would i get to that kennel .if i did how would i get the dogs out . etc . an just make it as hard for them as you can. panel fencing put in a second skin barb wire razor wire cameras lights alarms.. dont shy on cheap pad locks an chain by the best..all extreme mesures. but were living in extreme times with extreme thieves

High hedges also give good cover for thieves, and means that nosey neighbour cant keep an eye on your property.

Those trip wire, blank shotgun shell things, but whack a bit of rock salt in the end of the cartridge.

Won't kill a person, but it will sting a little bit :)

The window cleaner might not see the funny side when you tell him to stop screaming with pain as it only stings a bit!!!
