I'm contemplating exchanging the Navara for a scooby in the future and wondered which model people prefer and why, my Navara gets around 27mpg so any improvement on that would be a bonus and wondered what ground clearance/speed/economy/insurance rating/ride and handling compared between the two.

ive used them all mate out of all the 2 litres i would go for the forester but if you want a 2.5 i would go for the outbacker the handeling alot beter than any jeep they a lot quicker getting the but will lack a bit ground clearance

Thanks Lucky, I think the forester is edging it, quite fancy a 2.5 Legacy but the insurance costs make my botty twitch........

got a 2.5 4 cam legacy outback for sale or ex change and fairly high for a subaru

It`s not the insurance costs which should make your botty twitch it`s the fact that the 2.5s are prone to blowing head gaskets, stick with the 2 litre mate much more reliable and not much difference in power
