Clean Dry Air keeps being mentioned. Now call me stupid (most do!) but surely it depends where you pump your gun up. You will always get moisture in the cylinder however this is usually dispelled on the first shot. So if your pumping your gun up in the middle of a field in the pouring rain next to a bonfire yes you will get moist dirty air. If you're in your garage at home in the warmth of the living room, you'll get dry clean air. Stands to reason. Thats why I like springers. One shot. Wait 20mins and the coney are out again or move along to the next patch. Like I said before. I only take 10 shots with me....OK if you want to zero against a target take a few more but anything more than 20 seems excessive. Swampy Still "ninging" since Monday 9th March You get damp dirty air wherever you pump your rifle up, it is worse in the rain and gales but still dirty and damp in your living room! Damp rusts the resevour and stays there forever, this is not dispelled in the first shot, therefore even more particulates head through the system, the dirt clogs valves and seals etc and is not good.. I beg to differ on this....to what point I don't know, perhaps just for the argument......but no you're wrong. It all depends on the relative humidity of the enviroment you're in. Also when the only damp dirty place in my house is the bedroom! Swampy De juicing hedgehogs for lent Quote Link to post
