youngferreter09 0
(dont know if this is right place to put this post) but this weekend im thinking of making a ferret box does anyone have some sort of plans i could make it off. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
seems not many people have plans, your better off searching the back pages for pictures of boxes, then take ideas from those and make one to fit yourself Quote Link to post
pencoed hunter 7
Heres mine to give you an idea but if you look around on here ther ar lots of pictures of ferret boxes to give you an idea Quote Link to post

Meriln2008 0
Good sketch mate. Only things not shown is central divider which would be the same size as the end plates. And carry strap. My mate used a cheapish gun sling and swivels.Fixed the swivels with a csk bolt and nylock nut.(The csk head on the inside for the ferrets comfort).at about 50mm from the top of the side plate and central. Does that make sense?? You've actually given me an idea.I use solworks CAD software. If everyone is happy for me to do this I could possibly start drawing up versions of things like this, traps etc, and convert to pdf files for easy download. No charge .If there isn't a file section here I can put one on the side of my website and add the link here on the end of my posts. Since a lot of people quite often don't have the time, inclination or skills to make stuff for themselves they will always be looking for someone to make for them. Just don't want to tread on any toes. >>>> Edited March 8, 2009 by Meriln2008 Quote Link to post
SwissTony 0
Ooops totally forgot the internal divider  For a strap, you can use an old seatbelt (free from scrapyard, or take one out of your parents car, they wont mind). Once you cut it to the correct length, melt the end of the strap with a lighter to tidy it up and stop it fraying. Feel free to knock one up using cad software, I would do it, but I haven't learnt cad yet, just photoshop. The design above, was done with mspaint for ease Quote Link to post
