traditional or quickset

Recommended Posts

When the season for ferreting starts again I would like to give long netting a try as most of the places I ferret are tricky to purse net and I normally just bolt to my mates lurcher but we end up loosing so many. Were is the best place to get long nets from? And would u recommend the quickset or the traditional. Also what do you use as steaks surely thre are cheaper alternatives to the ones you can buy and how many will a need for a 25 ft net?

Thanks all the best

Quickset will be easier for a begginer!, For a 25yrd net i would use 4 or 5 pegs, there are various places you can buy nets but make sure you get one with plenty of bagging :good:

blanbo [bANNED TEXT] stick a post up asking if anybody near you would be prepared to show you how to run out a net either traditional or preset during the summer time ,then see which you prefer the ups and downs off both as to many guys buy a longnet run it once then leave it lieing in a shed [bANNED TEXT]

hi i live in a small place called lacock near Bath in wiltshire. yes i would be interested, the only thing is the farmers around here are a bit funny about hunting in the summer, and al the grass is to long or has livestock in it, but in the winter it will be ok. il pay for your petrol of corse. were abouts are you then ?

Not far from Shepton bud, you don't need to be Hunting to run it out and the grass'll be off in a minute.

Or come over here, we'll make good use of running it out.
