hunter1 63
I've got a schmidt and bender 8x56 power for sale £450 there's no differance between the 2 of them. Edited March 3, 2009 by hunter1 Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
There is no difference between them whatsoever, except one says made in Hungary, the other Made in Germany. I emailed S&B about this, even they say go and buy the Hungarian, as there is no difference whatsover Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
the labour cost is the only difference........... the scopes are well worth the money...... Quote Link to post
Guest david1976
I bought an 8x56 hungarian last year and was told by the guy in the gun shop the only difference was the labour cost. Well worth the money, i'd recommend one. Quote Link to post

mubz2cool 4
would you all think this scope will be ok for stalking? i asked my gun dealer and he said buy a swarovski? I am fairly new to stalking and wanted something that is good quality but will not break the bank, thanks for all the help Quote Link to post
SUNDAYBAIN 19
I got 8x56 s/b last year i got it for lamping foxes. to be honest i was a little shocked when looking through it during the day as it was not as clear as my redfield 6x42 but as the light began to fade the s/b came into its own and thats what i wanted so im happy with that. i woudnt buy one if it was only for daytime use others may differ about this but this is only my own preferance Quote Link to post
Guest david1976
I use my 8x56 for stalking. I stalk in thick forestry where it can be reasonably dark and i don't have any issues with the light performance at all. It is also great at dawn and dusk as it is obviously slightly wider than x42 scopes. Go on and get one you wont regret it. When my stalking pal had a go of mine he bought one the next week, he had a leupold before and rates the s&b as much better. Quote Link to post
smasher 1,055
Can a hungagian s&b be got with a higher magnification or do they only do the fixed power ones Quote Link to post
mubz2cool 4
hi mate. i think it is just the fixed power they do. Quote Link to post
coldweld 65
My two are 8x56 one on 22-250 fox rifle one on my omega. I also have a Swarovski 8x50 on my woodland stalking rifle. The only real difference i can tell between the swaro and S&B is the finish, the swaro is like a merc and the s&b a bmw . Both very nice but one with a bit more class. Quote Link to post
