I am breeding eu poleys this year that will be pretty dark, we are based in durham.

 

So how much does mDNA analysis cost then?

To get back to the subject of the thread: anyone wanting a dark polecat ferret, rather than a 'pure' (allegedly) or hybrid eu polecat could do worse than phone up one of the big Show clubs. They have classes for dark polecat ferrets in shows nowadays, so the pot-hunters will be breeding them.

if my memory serves me right there is a guy somewhere( i think he writes for the countrymans weekly ) offerd £250 for the first person to breed a all black ferret, im not into ferrets but im sure i read it in the countrymans weekly

 

 

yes he does write for the countrymans weekly he has been offering that reward for about 6 years and no one has yet done it

the darkest i have is a chocolat and 2 eropean polcat jills your welcome to a choclat if any one i s traveling up your way when i have kits ready

 

 

 

the left is the choclat has a white chin the same as a mink middle is the polcat european and the ferret on the end

ther is some one on here who went to france to collect a brown ferret and a black with whit chin here is the photo i saved of them if that person sees them they will maybe get in contact i would be willing to travle for a kit off them

Thats a nice chocolate you have there Mate! your right about the mink look he has. your right enough That black one would be worth traveling for tho. Dunno where your from mate but if you get kitts of your choc. Might be takin my hols down your way..

all be bredding hybrids from theses 2 top 1 is 50/50 eu polecat ferret and the bottem 1 is 1/4 will be putting a dark hybrid over theme not sure on the % as yet i live near glasgow if tha anay youse to you
