look at my link above there is one on guntraer for £500

Ive clicked on the link and had a look,my stick is a lot older than that, the only reason i excepted the price is because the woodwork is in very poor condition, the stick is split in places, but the firing mechinism is in good order. One of the other reasons ive excepted the offer is because i dont fancy doing porridge for having a concealed firearm!.If my deal falls through ive had a couple of pm's from lads on here that are interested in a private deal.

Ive been reading this thread for a while, & to be honest, I'm surprised you havent had a knock on your door yet from plod... wouldnt be that hard to find you from your IP address...

i think if the polioce were knocking on my door asking about a fiearm i knew nothing of ready to arrest me for something i didn't do i sure wouldn't be doing porridge for anyone. you think your better hidden than a child molesting pervert ? t think again if they want you they've got you no matter where you are

What harm can it do if you go to the police and report it. They'll advise you and no doubt youu'll be able to sell the firearm legally maybe to a museum

I think youve done the right thing in getting rid. I would love one of these but ive more chance of getting a wank off the pope than the police giving me a space for one on my cert.

With hindsight it would have been wiser to have kept shtum , done your homework and kept it at home, no-one would have knew but you and it would be a great piece of history on the mantlepiece, but because you owned up to having one on a public forum, plod would have cottoned on soon (even your force!!) and 5 years compulsory porridge is just not worth it.

Youve done the right thing mate :clapper:

Thanks for your support,i know what you mean.Just to let everyone know that the stick has already gone to a good home,i know i could have got a lot more for it but like i said the woodwork was in very poor condition,if it was in better condition i would have got £300-£500 bracket but as i didnt want to hold it for much longer i took what i could get for it!.The only reason why i put this on an open forum was to find out how old it was and if it was of any value, all i got was how illegal it was to own, which i already knew this in the first place. The antique dealer told me that it was mid victorian, possibly later and he had only seen 1 or 2 examples.
