well decided to go for a new one as a second hand one wont have waranty on it and if a second hand one broke i wouldnt know how to fix it

 

well i dont know anything about diffrent lamps i only know how to use them.got about £130 (maybe a little more) to spend, can anyone recomend a good one? and how long does the power usually last?

planning to go down to my local gameshop on wednesday maybes so will have a gander at your thread......going to buy it from a shop rather than the internetso i can take it back to them to fix it :icon_redface: ....dont do DIY unless its the old if in doubt give it a clout theory :D

i got a canny lamp from a shop in morpeth called greens,

it's a cluelite clubman cb2,

you get the lamp, battery shoulder strap nd all the chargers with it

it's not to heavy either, good lamp for the bunnies

nd have a little haggle with the bloke in the shop aswell ;)

i got about a tenner knocked off so payed £100 for it

my mate made his and its brilliant has a massize long tight beam and lasts for hours

 

all you need

 

scrap yard

 

welder

 

wire

 

motor bike battery or 2

 

find a decent headlight at the scrappy

 

have your butler weld a handle on

 

have your butler solder some wires in

 

have your butler crimp some attachments and switches in

 

have your butler go and hunt for you :D

the lightforce striker is well worth a try,imo you cant beat the beam you get,the downfall being the wiring,if you got one and the wiring went someone would sharp sort that for you,,,,,and theyve got them in greens aswell

yeah a few people have recomended them the "170" i think they said..........but the thing is i dont want it dieing on me after 3-4 hours :( as that would drive me crackers :angry:

mines the 18 amp,iv sometimes yoused it two nites in a row with out charging,i wouldnt worry about it dying,,best to charge it after every night out though or youl sharp feck the battery

haha that is a coinsedance, it's a canny little shop

i can get a good 3 to 4 hours lamping with it,

it's great for the smaller feilds, nd really is light compared to my other belt battery

but when we go for the long ears

i use my lightforce lamp, just for the lenght of the beam,

eee god i couldnt be done with it lasting 2-3 hours, would hapily be out all night :laugh:
