Gazza.H.18 2
Thanks glad everyone likes it , ha ha everyone wants to no the way to make the bow back , Secret !! lol No all i did was get my self some quarter inch ply that was damp so it would bend a little then i cut little thin slits in it every inch , a no this sounds abit of a bodge job but it works great for curving it and its still solid and ok to sit on , had another box made the same way and sat on it for years good solid job . Going to put some catchs on ar some flick down latches on to hold the lids down haven't got round to it yet . Was thinking of asking the local lads see if they wanted any making for a small price, keeps me in some fun and helps them . Hope everyone likes , great replies thanks Gazza Quote Link to post

reynardhunter 3
I posted a post last week about ferret box pictures and designs , and i decided to make myself a new one . I had some spare plywood sheeting pieces around from work so i made it from that , i used half inch for my base as thats were its going to get its wear and tear so thought better be safe than sorry . then i made the rest sides, back, front etc.. from quarter inch ply , i decided that i wanted a bow back box that cud hold two large ferrets . Heres a few pictures for you lot to see . I decided to put a light stain on the box just so it looks tidy and original. Brilliant stuff! Then i added the final bit the strap , now its all ready for me to use on my next outgoing , its strong enough to sit on , and fits great in my side with its bow back . Hope you all like . And i would recommend anyone having ago at making one themselves great fun . Gazza Quote Link to post

max abell 196
Well done mate good box but as a couple of others have said a wider strap will be more comfy on all day carrying Quote Link to post
Gazza.H.18 2
Thanks for everyone who has replied , a couple people have said the strap is to thin , i no it is its just the only one i had at the time so i put it on with nut and bolts , so i can take it off and replace any time i want . Going to get some latches for the lids sometime soon . Trying to get some from work as i'm a apprentice joiner . Hope everyone likes it, any questions or anything give me a reply . Quote Link to post

ABDog 0
Very nice box matey thats a nice ferret box am to lazzy just ordered one off ebayOrdered one for my eldest off ebay last week, wish I hadn't now. . new-ish seller, got 3 excellent feedback and the pic looked really nice. The reality was truly shoddy and very little like the pic (except for the basic shape). The seller is being a tit and banging on about how these boxes sell for £38.95 in hunting shops and how their feedback is excellent (all 3 of them). If anyone wants to know the seller, pm me... will also share full details of the issues with this box too, if asked (by pm). Quote Link to post
