Mitch 0
Next time you make your tealer, make the eye (where the snare is attached) Horizontal , make it 2 and a half twists, instead of 1. like this, and have your snare attached like that, the twist unturns and the knot gets pulled to the eye, which makes a swivel. Double knot for you brass, (P.S) Dont take any notice of that snares, its a copper one i made when i didnt have brass. (its shit) lol Good luck champ, im definatley no expert but ive watched the ass end out of woodgas DVD And! before i forget, Dont spin your wire around the shaft like i have in my pic, I have just discovered as it unwinds it can get jammed. Twist it around the front of the shaft (and anti clockwize direction when looking at the tealer from above) Quote Link to post

blando 0
i no my last attempt was really bad but is this any better? http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/7858/dscf01788rm.jpg i think i need to make my own snares because they are to small once they have a knot in the end. Quote Link to post
pegandgun 52
Good to see you have been successful.Mitch is spot on about making your tieler eye horizontal and then twist you snare one and a half turns around the tieler.Nice one Blando Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
i no my last attempt was really bad but is this any better? http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/7858/dscf01788rm.jpg i think i need to make my own snares because they are to small once they have a knot in the end. its not bad, but from the eye of the tieler to that bend, wants to be a lot shorter, The first tealers i made ages ago where shite, but you'll get the hang of it. How i create the eye of my tealer is i have a block of 2x2 wood, about 3 inch long. Drill a hole through it. a hooe big enough for the wire to slide in and out of with ease. As close to the hole as possible without splitting the wood i have a hi-tensile 1mm nail knocked in. When you have your wire striaghten it out, cut it to whatever length. Make a 90degree bend, about 3 inch. Slide it into the hole of the wood and then twiest the 3inch part around the nail 2.5 times to give you the eye. Quote Link to post
