shooting foxes

new to this area but thought i'd ask if this is unusual..............went out friday night to shoot some rabbits at a farm with my air rifle.....took the lurcher pup incase i could give him a run or i pricked one and it would be an easy catch.......and the shotgun cos theres often foxes poking about......shot a couple of rabbits.....and then a pair of eyes appear.......mate sat with dog and air rifle and squeaked it in while i slid up the hedgerow to ambush(lol) i still get excited about it!!! Got the shot and dropped it. Then two minutes later after chatting with mate excitedly(it had been a while since either of us had shot a fox) we dragged it around for the dog to get an idea of!!! 5 minutes later we were gonna start skinning it as we thought there'd be nothing about after that i lamped about and there were three sets of eyes.....same story got the shot played with dog etc......... lamped about--- 4 sets of eyes, shot one more about 5mins later,(we only took 4 cartridges) there were still 4 sets of eyes!!!! and one ran from the farm yard as we walked back so were 8 foxes and three were shot

 

 

long and short - has anyone else experienced anything like this?? it is as if they were coming in to the gun etc

weve done the same with the rifle ,shot four in one field & one in the next

picked up bodies one had 3 cubs in her, one was in heat and other was old dog!! the others may have been cubs as could not see clearly but these 3 still came with all commotion going on

yeah could of been there are people like that round there!!! didn't know if other people had experienced it

 

going out now for another go!!! we'll see what its like tonight!!

that actualy happend a few year ago near where i live fox's were being dumped ,infact i beleive they were spoted by someone but when the police caught up with them they just had a transit full of empty cages , and for a while fox's were geting shot all over the place very easily ,so looks like they didnt do the fox's any favour

Sounds like what those PETA bums did a few years back. Went to a mink farm and released about a thousand, what didn't kill each other died from starvation, great save there dumbasses. Now if I could just get someone to release a tiger in my backyard, always wanted one of those rugs.

cool that would be nice you would have to make sure it was a well placed shot and not just make it mad

OH NO, OH NO, that would not be very sporting, first shot goes in the paw, just to piss him off, then make the head shot on the charge, that would make it interesting, and right after I changed my pants, I'll get the camera and get some pictures.
