Hi,I have a dog and a bitch sharing a kennel,they have been together for over 2yrs but in the last maybe 6wks,2months the dog has started pissing in the water bowl ,he does this every day.I go out change the water he pisses in it again,I have never had this problem in all the years I have kept dogs.Can anyone enlighten me as to what the fecks going on,any advice greatfully recieved as it's doing my head in. Thanks

Dunno whats going on there once had a bitch who peed in puddles and drunk out of them (dirty thing). If kennelled raise your bowl higher so he can't do it

is your bitch coming in season,he could be marking his teratory

no mate the bitch isnt due till august

is your bitch coming in season,he could be marking his teratory

no mate the bitch isnt due till august

it might be that he started to piss in that place and it is just the same to him as if he is doing it against the same tree or object ,does he do it if the bowl is in a different place ,if so like some one sujested put it up higher .

that sounds like a logical idea it would probably work alb martync

You could try putting in something else for him to wee on, like a lamp post replacement. (I'm thinking, dont know why-a garden gnome :icon_eek: ).

 

The other thing that occours is that animals that are lacking in some nutrients will drink both their owbn pee and poo. You could try a vitamin and mineral suppliment.

Have you changed their food recently? Is his coat in good condition?
