lurchergrrl 1,441
I had my lurcher dog buried up near the fishing lodge where I walked him all the time, watched him grow up and play with my kids. I've had my share of dogs and loved them all but once in a while you get one who is that bit more special and he was it. Now I walk up there with my bitch, and still take the kids up. It took a long time for me to go up there and not feel bereft; but now, I can sit on that hill and think about him and smile while I watch his sister doing mental laps in the grass. She's very much like he was, and it gives me a lot of comfort. Edited February 26, 2009 by lurchergrrl
Guest manda
bury them, but our old rottie had to be put down at vets so we folked out £200 to have her crimated and put in a cascket which is in the kitchen it was worth it to us as she meant the world and now my rottie pup is named after her

Often i am in the woods after dark where my dogs are buried and it is a place they knew well as they spent many happy years there. Sometimes when whistling in my current lurchers i can imagine the other dogs running back to me as well.........weird I know.......but I still like to think they know i'm there.
