Good to hear that mate, glad you're getting out and about with him. Would never sell pups as workers, pet or show. It's really upto the person what they want to use them for. Out of the litter we had they've all gone to different homes 2 went to working homes, 1 to pet/working home, 1 pet home, 1 pet/show and 1 show, mixed bag really and was always up front about what the bitch has done. Guest fence_hopper
what size do these show whippets get? could they take a good knock like a worker, could they keep up with the of the working bread whippet or are they as hardy i find it hard to believe that a whippet perposly bread to prance around a ring could. The fella i bought my bitch of and i also bought my first lurcher of a is a well respected man and very nolagable has told me he's tried all lines and types of whippets and theres no other line capable of beating the working bread whippets eg sooty sam lines Quote Link to post

Guest gaz100604
i think alot of folk get too caught up on what lines breed into there wippet rather than just getting out there and working the dog regardless of what lines he comes from.... i think if you put the time into him then he should do the biz no matter if he is show, sotty sam or just some random wippet breed.... the bro,s dog which i have put pics up of,well his dam was a show wippet and the sire a working wippet out of no fancy lines and you can see be the pics of how good he is... personally i think if you put the effort in then no matter what lines the wippet comes from they should do all thats asked from them as i think they have a high prey drive naturally Quote Link to post
