Hi Mate

I have a hw97k .177 myself fitted with a v-mach tuning kit super smooth and extremely accurate tuned to 11.5 ftp it loves Air Arms and H&N ftt pellets, for heavier pellets i use crow magnums 8.8 grains and super mags 9.3 grain maximun for short range, if you do go heavier you with get piston bounce and maybe damage spring in the long run. When loading pellets mate keep the butt under your arm and hold onto the under lever, it does have a anti bear trap mechanism but do it as a safety precaution.

Good luck mate brilliant rifle. :clapper::clapper:
