WHITEYrs4 29
They look very nice mate but the substrates could do with being at least 4" deep to allow for burrowing and also a bit of moisture to help them with their moulting. Also they aren't exactly fond of the light so i'd switch that off. The crickets/locusts can avoid the T for a good while too with all the climbing frames you've given them as both those spiders are terrestrial and unlikely to chase their prey like some of the arboreals do. The tanks woud be ideal for something arboreal too imo like a Indian Ornamental or Sun Tiger (Psalmopeus irminia) Good luck with your spiders mate. Yep Good advice ive had experience with spiders since I was young over 22 years, the brazilian white knee you see I bred that spider myself! Underneath that log with the brazilian white knee there is 7-8 inches of substrate. The humidity is 85 in the tank which I think is absoluteky perfect in my experience! I know your just trying to be a bit helpful but did u know in the wild this tarantulas burrow when it does burrow is a minimal of over 3 1/2 feet long? So it just goes to show when u hear people say 4 inches, 6 inches, 10 inches etc etc its really not deep enough for what the spider really likes! Indian Ornamental nice t's but in my option they are not a very good display tarantula they always seem to look like they are under attack the way they position theirselves on display narrowy looking! Nevertheless very pretty looking spiders. About the light in my opinion thats an absolute myth! I dont know if u know this but t's have very poor eye sight they can only really tell the difference between night and day and if u know anything about breeding then youll know that u need lighting for the breeding projects. Have u got anymore spiders?
