Foxy09 3 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) Hi Foxy , nice bit of trapping , love the photo of the white stoat , but could you explain the first photo ??? the magnum trap is re~set , secondly the trap top bar is sitting above the cubby tunnel and the gap in the cubby where the spring comes through dose not look wide enough , thus impeding the firing of the trap , regards Steve Hi stephen, not sure what you mean re-set? the trap is fired? can see how it looks with the top bar but this is just from the angle i took the photo from, the trap fits snug into that tunnel and the spring gap is two inches wide, again its just the angle of the photo that might make it look smaller Foxy picture looks snide to me snide? care to elaborate? Its a wooden tunnel dug into the ground mate with a bit of lure aswell, surrounded by a rabbit warren aswell so i catch stoats in that set regular. Foxy Quote Link to post

Pretty much exactly what it is! its a bolt trap with a one way door, used while ferreting, rabbits bolt into it, cant get out. Foxy Quote Link to post

Hi MT, a mate knocked them up for me, not sure what gauge they are to be honest, ill try find out though, heavy is good in my book mate as without proper solid ends on them (as in the end that goes into the burrow) anything light will just warp and disfigure when pushed into the hole impeding the trap door.
