Trapping Pics...

Recommended Posts

Hi Foxy , nice bit of trapping , love the photo of the white stoat , but could you explain the first photo ??? the magnum trap is re~set , secondly the trap top bar is sitting above the cubby tunnel and the gap in the cubby where the spring comes through dose not look wide enough , thus impeding the firing of the trap , regards Steve

Hi stephen, not sure what you mean re-set? the trap is fired? can see how it looks with the top bar but this is just from the angle i took the photo from, the trap fits snug into that tunnel and the spring gap is two inches wide, again its just the angle of the photo that might make it look smaller

Foxy picture looks snide to me

snide? care to elaborate?

WHAT IF THE FERET WENT IN IT!

as its used while ferreting, you'd simply pick it up and remove the ferret

could the rabbits not just turn back into there hole?

it has a one way trap door, you cant see that in the picture as its in the rabbit hole, so in answer to your question, no

If you look closely at the picture you can see the door of the trap just as it goes into the burrow.

Hi there, did you make your own bolt traps ?, if you did, what gauge wire did you use, i am looking at some 14g at the moment which is 2mm, not sure this is heavy enough.

Regards MT.

Hi MT, a mate knocked them up for me, not sure what gauge they are to be honest, ill try find out though, heavy is good in my book mate as without proper solid ends on them (as in the end that goes into the burrow) anything light will just warp and disfigure when pushed into the hole impeding the trap door.
