andyfr1968 772
By the time you've done spening money and time on an XS, you'd be better off with a second hand BSA Lightning, Webley Xocet or something similar. Quote Link to post

SteveieP 0
The XS20 is more than good enough quality, don't let the uninformed tell you otherwise. You've clearly spotted it's a HW95K clone. Shootable out of the box, but let down a bit by an inferior spring & poor lubrication (both of which are easily & cheaply fixable). Also benefits from a good clean of the barrel before first use. It will use whatever springs the 95K uses so you're not short of choices e.g Maccari, HW, Bonnie & Clyde, Titan XS & so on. Plenty of shooters will do a strip & lube on a new gun, no matter what it cost. Good copy of the Rekord 2 stage trigger as well You might get a more balanced view of it here:- http://ukchineseairgunforum.myfreeforum.org A v. shootable bit of kit for the money. 5 pellet group at 27 yards with Superdomes...& no that aint a 50p piece, it's a 20p Quote Link to post
warbiscuit 0
if you are comfortable with the assembly and disassembly, the xs's are easy enough to self tune. i got mine to 11.5lbs just polishing and regreasing with some quality products...... Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Fair comments, lads. They're maybe better than I gave them credit for. Good luck, mate, whatever you choose. Cheers. Edited February 25, 2009 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
