When I hear or see the name Patterdale that’s what I see in my mind’s eye. Not saying that they should all look like that and thank goodness they aren’t yet bred to conform to a breed standard, but that’s the type I class as a Patterdale. I know bugger all about the type and no doubt I’ll be embarrassed if told it’s a bull/Russell mix but looks an original stamp.
