Timelord 0
who told you that they wreck your gun mate ? I stated that fact in a thread a few days ago here. I speak to the Theoben engineers frequently and the have told me that Accupells are the dirtiest pellets on the market and are made with a very high mix of steel in the pellets which are not recommended in quality barrels. Air Arms are made of good lead and not mixed with steel which makes them a better pellet in quality barrels, being a softer compound they do very good damage on the intended quarry. By all means use accupels in crappy guns if you wan,t or run the risk of damaging a high quality barrels on more expensive guns if you wish. But this is the sound advice from a specialist engineer at Theoben so who am I to question someone who builds the best rifles in the airgun world..... Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
what about spitfires are they good for gun? Quote Link to post
Timelord 0
what about spitfires are they good for gun? I can't comment on these but I don't think I would put them in my Theoben, every gun is different however so if you find a pellet that is accurate and works well then why change it..... Headshot08 36
I had the same problem with my bsa tactical it just didnt seem to want to zero at all. I tried every pellet on the maret, every position and 3 sets of mounts and 2 scopes the gun just would not zero!! I also checked the silencer...This is something you should do if you havent already...check the silencer on your gun is not in the line of fire meaning it is clipping the pettets on there way out making the pellets fly everywhere... just a thought Steve Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
hi im gary im a newbie with airguns i have a bsa lightning and im trying to sight my scopes at 20 yards im trying my best to hit a target the size of a 50p but my grouping is all over im getting shots all over the target (i use a A4 size sheet of paper with a small circle in middle). i cant understand why the shots are so far apart. is it the way i shoot? is the trigger to hard? i dont know any advice would be great cheers guys Gary, What Calibre and pellets are you using ? As also mention check and see if Pellets are catching silencer Some times caused by thread being off slightly - Gun or Silencer Try with and with Silencer BOB/R Quote Link to post
SteveieP 0
SMK Spitfires rarely shoot well through any gun because of their poor quality. That's why they're so cheap & could explain grouping problems. You need a better quality pellet. RWS Superdomes are relatively cheap but much better quality (weight around 14.5 grains). RWS Superfield are a bit heavier (around 15.9 grains) & being one of the JSB clones (like AA Field etc) are good quality also. I don't think your post mentions which gun you have so it's not possible to offer more specific recommendations. There are some other obvious things, like making sure all your screws are on tight & the scope isn't creeping etc. Quote Link to post

Sterry 0
nothing like regurgatated threads. fact is those bisley pest control aren't verry accurate, im kicking myself for buying aload at how much they cost.(i do bit of professional pest control) as its been said many many many times for most situation domed does the job. hearing that about the accupells i think this will be my last tin of them, those Air Arms i was put off by their rough feel to them (silly i know) do they benefit from a wash and lubing up?
