gillteal 0
Hi Ive just been to check on my horse and along side the field runs an old railway line, since I had my 2yr old son with my I walked along her and called the horse over, he as usual came galloping across the field to me, whild checking him over a woman with two loose dogs came along the line, the first dog ran straight up to my son and scared the living daylights out of him as it knocked him over. Then to add to it, the dog jumped up at my horse and bite him, luckly the horse has got two coats on but the dog did tear one of these, luckly no injury to the horse, asked the woman for her name and address and she refused bluntly where has peoples respect gone, obviously I give this woman a piece of my mind since she had no control over her dogs. Miss Tarka 3
I hate people like that....they honestly souldnt be allowed to have dogs.....i always make sure my dogs are under control especially in a situation like that its common sense and it doesnt effect your dogs walk its just manners.....where i walk mine theres alot of narrow path ways so if we meet other dog walkersi always pull mine to the side and let them pass as the lurcher can be funny in tight spaces where she cant get away....the looks i get are horrendous as if my dogs have done something wrong....that or they ignore their dog let it harrass mine whilst going 'oh he/she is fine' im like thats great mine might not be....sorry went on a little rant it just really annoys me.....common sense and manners are free it wouldnt hurt some owners to get some.... Hope your little one is ok and your horse... atb Miss T X
scothunter 12,609
My pet hate ppl who cant control dogs.Im literally hated by the dog walking community give them sheer abuse and have booted there dogs a few times.Nothing worse than having some unruly pot licker come charging towards you and your dog.Followed by the stupid f*****g owner roaring at their dog who is blatantly paying no attention. I seriously do not see the enjoyement of owning such a beast.
lurchergrrl 1,441
My dog once knocked a kid over by accident - gawd I was horrified. I ran over, full of apologies. The woman was shocked at first but seeing that I had three kids the same age with me, I think she realised it was an accident. Sometimes things happen that you wouldn't expect. Like your dog running over to say hello and things going pear shaped. It's not so much that, it's the reaction of the humans in charge of the dogs that can make things worse. There's a man around here who's kept his GSD on lead for the first two years of her life because her recall was horrible. Now that's ok he lets her off - she's got no idea how to behave around other dogs as a result of being on lead for two years. She charged my dog, lifted her off her feet and went for her belly So I hoofed her in the arse, several times. But once he got her back on lead I stopped to talk to him for a while about it. He was quite embarassed and clearly didn't have much a clue about dogs, bless him. Another guy around me lets his dog off lead all the time and it's bitten one of my dogs and several others. Ffs you'd think he'd learn and keep it on a lead, or muzzle it when he lets it off. But no, he carries on as if it's his god given right to let his dog bite. Folks like that piss me off. ferret boy charlie 0
ill tell you what i hate people with big motherfucking dogs and dont know how to control them its like when me and my mum took fiveof our dogs to a show onetime i had roman the lurcher and my staffie x rottie who was off the lead with all the other dogs apart from the lurcher as he wasnt fully trained yet as i walk past this humungus over weght staffy (you know the sort with a massive harness around its body ) and on the other end of the leash was a replica fat chav as i walked past my dogs didnt even look at the the f*****g thing when it turned around and bit my pup on the nose and a booted the f****r and it still held on to my pups nose with the chav sceaming my mum came over and beat the shit out of it wich i am glad about anyway as they were taking it home it got too big for its boots and started on a dog de bordoux had to be put down the next day i also hate it when they have got the cheek to call my lurchers thin when they have got the fattest mouthiest terrier that looks like its never seen a f*****g walk
redeye jedi 39
i hate people like that. ive got a 2yr old son and if that was my son the dog knocked over then im afraid not by choice but by a natural protective reaction the dog would of been kicked up the arse and the woman put on hers. some people dont deserve to keep dogs, it could of been worse and the kiddy got a bite instead then the dog would probably get destroyed due to irresponsible owners. Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
I always keep my dogs on leads around livestock & the alsation/grey goes on near kids as well. He's way too bouncy & a vocal dog anyway so most are terrified of him without him knocking them flying & barking at them. He hasnt got a clue when it comes to horses, cows, sheep so he goes on his lead & made to sit whilst horses come by. With regards to the rescued collie, report it to your dog warden, I dont approve of dogs been pts for no reason BUT collies are in the top 10 of dogs that bite- not savage but a biter- is a biter no matter what coat it's wearing. My first dog was a collie & I still have a soft spot for them but this one needs to be muzzled. The owners must take responsibility for their animals, they are the ones who are supposed to have brains. But your right some people have no respect for anything or anyone.
