Tyla 3,179
Just been chatting to my mate and he is talking about buying the above nv kit, its an add on that attaches to the rear of your normal scope. Has anyone tried it or a similar one? Thanks Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Thats what he was saying, they do sound good although i would have thought you would need reach forward mounts? Has anyone or here tried one? Quote Link to post
3jackwhite3 2
i have the nvmt4 with add on and it is very good it is awkward looking through it as yor head is so far back but you get used to it and i only shoot rats with mine so i lie up and wait for them and it is great fun, the only drawback is you need a scope with parellex adjustment otherwise you will not be able to focus it. hope this helps nathan Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
Thanks mate, i will pass that on. Do you think you could solve the eye relief problem with reach forward mounts? Do you use it alone or with an ir lamp? What is the effective range? Sorry for all the questions Quote Link to post
brock1 2
Thanks mate, i will pass that on. Do you think you could solve the eye relief problem with reach forward mounts? Do you use it alone or with an ir lamp? What is the effective range? Sorry for all the questions i use a nvmt 3 (4x50) with a rifle mount/eyepiece kit. its allright for close range shoting rats up the garden or rabbits on the local railway bank but the red dot sight seem to chase everything you try to head shot. the range you can see a rabbit at is about 40 yards but your constantly re focusing them witch dose my head in. & with a nvmt ir 100mw luminater you can see rabbits about a 100 yards away. but they seem to make everything look ferther away then they are so you dont know what distance your shoting unless you know the distance to land markings like trees ect becouse you cant just look without looking through the scope. jon_h 0
What add ons are these and how much do they go for? Cant afford a full on night vision scope and wouldnt want the hassle of keep changing scopes for day shooting then night. And definately cant afford a day/night scope! Quote Link to post
