Guest jessy Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 how much money is a good dog ,i want it to catch a lot of rabbits, what should i look for to make sure i am not going to be conned ,and how old should the dog be ,is it best to get a dog or bitch ,and does any one have one that will be ok for me . in answer to your actual question! average is £50 -£200 ish? if its just rabbits go with collie grey or somthing with alot of whippt,try get pup at 8wks if pos, dog or bitch is a personnel choice there is good and bad in both. thats if you haven't f##ked off yet. if you have you wouldnt of lasted long and should grow up. scotty thanks ,now how would you suggest i grow up ,and how come you can tell how old i am any way ,i only wanted advice on a dog ,not told what i should do by some one that sounds like a school teacher . jack pyke 4 Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 jessy the best thing to do is buy a puppy from working stock like a whippet cross greyhound excellent rabitting dogs train the dog up yourself that way you know what your getting instead of buying someone elses problems cost from 150 to 200 pounds as for dog or bitch your prefrence both excellent allrounders best luck mate Quote Link to post
Tallyho 181 Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 I think if your new to all this then you shouldnt get a dog straight away, read up a bit first on what its all about, it could end up The blind leading the blind, and maybe a good dog ruined by your lack of not knowing ( not ment in a rude way ) , if i was you i wouldnt jump straight in.
