whats the lighter stuff and if the bisley ones hit hard then why didnt it drop the rabbit when hit in the chest

It did drop the rabbit but you want the energy to be transfered into what your shooting not for it to go through wasting energy. they are good at 30yrds but close they do the job but not well. the lighter stuff is those Accupells, fantastic pellet around 14gr (bisley magnums 21gr, bisley pest control 18gr), i find the accupells deform (releasing the energy) close and are accurate out to 50/60yrds if you can shoot that far.

I have to agree with milo2005 here AA's = Air Arms Field Diablos and then RWS superdomes for everything you shoot whatever distance. Don't get me wrong hollow points are great, but they are only good for short distance. We all know that hunting presents alsorts of senarios ie, you could have a hollow point loaded and when you take aim that bloody thing flies away :( It may fly to another tree which is out of range for the hollow point pellet.

If you have a good domed pellet in the breech you don't care because you've adapted your range and murdered that vermin with ease ;)

Accupels  Whilst they are accurate I will say that's it! They are the most filthy pellets on the market and have too high of a steel content in them for quality barrels and over time will damage the barrels rifling...... In a nut shell accupels are accurate but rubbish for and guns life span........

hi mate i use rws super h points there quite a heavy pelt and seem to do the job for me, i did a clean head shot on a rabbit at around 35-40 yard and dropped it on the spot, i used to use pointed pellets but i found they just arnt accurate enough, cheers karl
