It sure is sad, but not worth losing any sleep over. Animals die, you just have to be man enough to not let it effect you. Some things are out of our control and we just have to get on with it as there is nothing we can do about it. Shame that is mate.

And I didnt say it makes you less of a man. I probably worded it badly if thats what you thought, as I probably wouldnt be the happiest guy on the block if one of mine died. All I meant was theres no point letting something that is inevitable get you down too much, as it isnt going to bring the ferret back.

well thanks for all your replies ladies and gents and for your kind thoughts.

I'm away in London this weekend for the wifes birthday.I'd forgotten how much I hate all the crowds of people up here.....I always feel like crocodile dundee on his first trip to New york!!...Everyone else seems to be walking the opposite way to me in big cities don't you find?

I can't wait to get back to the relative quietness of the westcountry tomorrow and then out in the fresh air for a mooch around.
