Hi i am 23 iv just come out the army and would like to get in to gamekeeping. Would like some help pls im in south yorkshire any help would be fine pls. Or is there anyone who would take a trainee on thank carl.

look up gamekeeping courses mate take it from there

hi killer. i use to be a keeper. best bet is to do a course, usually last couple of years. i did my training at a college in east yorkshire, left there and got offered two really good keepering jobs. if you dont already then try sort out some beating for next season. look in back of magazines like shooting times, always a few keepring jobs in there, but you need experience mate. be easier than being in army though pal, charlie fox doesn't shoot back! good luck

like ben boy said get on a keepering course at a collage thats what i did and got into full time keepering as a result of my work placemen and i have been offerd 2 new jobs in the last month

but watch out not everyone is as lucky as perthshire keeper it can be very hard to get a placement trust me i'm looking at the moment for when i finish college.

Good luck with it mate, definately do the college otherwise you've got little or no chance of getting anywhere. The current economical climate is affecting keeper jobs big time at the moment, I am struggling to get a new position and have been keepering for 5 odd years, hopefully the jobs will pick up again in a year or so which would coincide with you completeing a course.

hi mate i am thinking about the same thing my self i hav looked up a few colleges which do the courses and i contacted them just waiting to hear back would be intrested in knowing how you get on pal all the best

dont think kirkley runs the gamekeeping any more and to be honest your better off not going anyway get your self over to newton rig or borders college

my mate rang kirkley mate and was told they would get back in touch because the bloke he needed to speak to was not available. I have been told of a few people that borders is a good college so might be worth i look thanks for the help pal

I have just recived a pack from borders college about a gamekeeping course. I was wondering with me been from hartlepool is there any acomadation available at the college or will i be giving help to find a place ?
