SNAP SHOT 194
it's nothing to be ashamed off if that's what you think jp.... i knew a fella in my class that struggled and once they found out he had it he got given some kind of extra marks for being dyslexic, and he wasn't marked as hard on spelling and grammer, he's now an engineer in electronics for a very large tech company..... scothunter 12,609
Ive alway been alright with spelling and reading, My problem is with maths. When it comes to numbers my mind just goes a blank. Im ok with simple things like adding up in me head, But when it comes to subtraction im a total numpty. I use to play darts and i was so slow working out te doubles to finish a leg it got embarrasing so i stoppped playing seriously. I relied on a mate to tell me what to hit lol

mattydski 560
Yep, I have dsylexia of a sort. In order to type or write I have remembered lots of little ryhmes to help spell. Although I still miss letters out of words, words out of sentances and sentances out of paragraphs. Fortunately I'm ok with numbers :secret: Never stopped me. I'm Engineering and IT Director for a group of companies. I only found out I had it at college, when my mate got his free computer and lent me his evaluation sheet. I was told my mind works faster than my hands when I write... :weight_lift2: Thats why most of my posts are edited..I write it, post it. Then reread it, and have to correct it.. droid 11
Taught several kids with genuine dyslexia, and they seemed to have better than average intelligence, and all went on to do well in GCSE's. Good thing about this forum is that it's not used as an excuse for those who just don't spell too well. I don't like that, it devalues a genuine condition.
