Frontline for ferrets?

Recommended Posts

After recently getting back a ferret after 3 weeks on the run she had the inevitable tick infestation .

As there were so many tiny ones i decided to use a little bit of Frontline spot-on.

I know it was a risk but i needed them all off asap as she was underweight etc-i only used a really small amount and over the past few days they have all dropped off.

The product only said not for use on rabbits and as i figured the ferrets are more cat or dog like than rabbit like she would be ok.

She is anyway- so what i want to ask is if anyone else has used this for flea/tick control?

It would be handy if i can use this like i do with the dogs as we have quite a tick problem here at times

WE HAVE ALLWAYS USED FRONTLINE ON ALL OUR FERRETS SINCE IT CAME OUT AND NEVER HAD ANY

PROBLEM WITH ANY OF OUR FERRETS BUT AS ANDY s410 SAID IN HIS REPLY WE ALLWAYS SPRAY THE

FRONTLINE ON SOME RUBBER GLOVES MARRIGOLDS OR THROW AWAY TYPE THEN RUB IT INTO THE

FERRETS IT SENDS THEM A BIT CRAZY FOR 5 MINS THE USUAL WAR DANCE ETC WHEN YOU PUT THEM

DOWN ON THE FLOOR BUT DO THIS TWICE A YEAR AND YOU WILL VERY RARELY SEE A FLEA OR TICK ON THEM
