Guest Catcher
Well since receiving my reloading gear about a week ago now, I haven't had the chance to use it properly since yesterday and this evening. And the result is my first batch of 20 rounds These are test rounds, five rounds each, with different powder weights in each to see what is most accurate. They are all loaded with a Sierra Blitzking 50gr Ballistic Tip, loaded in front of Hodgdon 4895 powder along with Remington 7 1/2 Small Rifle, Benchrest Primers. From Left to right, we have five with 20gr powder, 21, 22 and 23 respectively And just a few more..... Looking forward to firing them now.............. :D SS I can remember sooting my first load(it was heaven the bird just lay there) Sorry lads i couldent resist.atb catcher Edited February 21, 2009 by Catcher Quote Link to post

Thats me mate, the only problem i found with the 40s was the grouping at 200yds, so ive gone back to the 50s for Foxes and my move was justified last night with the 280-290yd fox Quote Link to post

v-max 2
Hi ss dont know if you know this but reduce your max load by 1-2g when you use match primmers as they burn hotter thus more pressure & most data is with standard primmers unless stated. Quote Link to post

Yes, it had been mentioned I'm using Remmy 7 1/2 Benchrest at the moment and currently loading 23gr of powder, 1gr from the max so I should be OK on that front. Thanks for the tip Quote Link to post
