richie 1
you wont find anything for £300 for what you will need it for, youll be looking at a grand minimum... Quote Link to post
moosedog 2
dont know about anyone else but its not that often i shoot foxes at more than a 100-120 yards, and with night vision i would only think you would get that distance down even futher. just in mho Quote Link to post

dave1372 83
Unless you get a complete bargain, you will end up very disappointed. I bought a gen 1 monocular with dayscope adaptor and with additional ir you will get about 100yds. Ended up forking out for a Gen 2 dedicated scope and I am well pleased. I don't mean to be negative but if as the saying goes buy cheap you buy twice....why not get a small loan of a £1k and get something you will be impressed with. Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
If you want decent NV you are looking at a lot more than a grand. Try about 3, last time I checked. ON a 223 you really want Gen 3 or Gen 3+. Caveat - not used any so cannot speak from experience, but I did a deal of digging a while back and my conclusion was that for CF, I need to spend more money than I have, by a lot, so use the lamp for now... moosedog 2
have you been to gb sights web site they have digital NV, about a grand for a add on, but there supposed to be as good as a Gen2+ and they are not bothered by light overload I think one or two guys on here have one, see if they come into the topic id be interested to see if they are as good in the field as they say they are atb cris Quote Link to post
