farlap 19
Tell him to try a ferruginous hawk first(begginers eagle). It put me of eagles for life pm me if you want. i have quite a lot of experience mainly with goldens and steppes.....however if he thinks he can fly it with a lurcher then he should not even consider owning one as he clearly knows very little about them!!! trappa 518
Theres quite a bit goes on in east europe but you NEED to know what your doing. Ive had tonnes of experience with bops, but i wouldnt dream of getting a goldie for deer, even though ive got the permission. I dont know where you are mate, but you would need to be very remote to even think about it. If its for muntie then it will be no good me thinks, the eagle will need open ground and thats not muntie habitat. Quote Link to post

FWBO 4
Tell him to try a ferruginous hawk first(begginers eagle). It put me of eagles for life Horses for courses Adeyhawk! I had a male Ferruge as my first bird. I'd be the first to say it was the hardest bird to man down that I've ever had but once I got it flying it was brilliant. Quote Link to post

Just joking mate, they are exellent birds and are as you have said very hard to man down and they do use their beaks as weapons. If you look at the amount of open ground these birds need and the fact that they wont fly in wooded areas at all then imagine how much harder it is to fly an eagle.I have seen goldies that fly in woods but im not sure of any of the other eagles Quote Link to post
trappa 518
Good luck mate but its a recipe for disaster in my eyes. 1800 acres isnt that much mate from an eagles point of view, and as for munties, again you wont catch them regularly in woods. If you are flying regularly over just 1800 then there is little chance of roe regularly coming out into the open to be caught. Good luck anyway , hope it all comes good, seriously. (you might need to find out whether hunting deer with bops is legal in britain first, i dont think it is) Quote Link to post
