How bad does it look when, at 14, you are one of the last people in your age group to "do it"? The covers of magazine, ads on the telly, kids are totally oversaturated by it. I agree with Kaye, sex ed ought to cover the emotional side of things as well as how to protect yourself. If all they're telling kids is how NOT to catch an STD or get pregnant, they're basically saying go ahead and have sex ... but make sure you wear a condom/take a pill etc etc. Young teens who go around bragging about sex make me a bit sick really. Look at the lifestyle of a lot of the parents I think you are pretty much spot on, I know there are other influences, but i would love to see the stats of how many kids from two cohabiting/married/single WORKING parents get pregnant before 16 as opposed to kids from cohabiting/married/single non working parents.
