Hi from the east coast of the US

Greetings from New York. I came onboard mostly to ask some questions about working terriers, but I'll be glad to answer any questions about hunting and fishing in the 'States, that I'm able.

 

I'm not so much of a big game hunter these days, but almost exclusively an upland bird hunter. I have a Golden Retriever that I'm training up to be a fowling dog (hence the username). He also shows great promise as a dog for rough shooting. He's a bit large to get into the nastiest places but he's as willing as they come.

 

I do a little saltwater fishing, but just what I can do from the beach at the end of the road. Striped Bass and Bluefish mostly.

Thanks for the welcome, and it looks like I'll be reading more than posting until I get the lay of the land...or until I can get my hands on an English to American dictionary. Some of the colloquialisms and idioms used on the board are a little tough to penetrate.
