Hedge_hunter27 18 Posted February 15, 2009 Report Share Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) Well I was quite surprised when Pointer asked me if I wanted to go out for a couple of drinks as we don’t normally do anything, little did I know what he meant . It was approaching 8.45 p.m. and Pointer says come on grab your wellies, lamp, dogs and a couple of bottles of Budweiser, it’s time to go. So off we went in the pick up to the farm for a spot of Valentines ratting, we took Fudge (Plummer), Nipper (Plummer) and Red (Plummer Nuttall) . As it hasn't been as cold we thought there might be a few more around, the temperature was around 4c when we arrived at around 9 p.m. Went to the first barn nothing there and this is the barn you can almost guarantee the will be at least one rat in . Went into the byre and the dogs managed one, had a look around the other byres but nothing much about so we put the dogs back in the pickup, sat and waited for about 20 minutes (had one of my bottles ) and then decided we would just go and have a look, by this time it was around 9.50 p.m. well we couldn’t believe it, the place was lifting so back out with the dogs and managed these few .
