mole catcher 1
any word on a delivery date ? It is with a heavy heart and a sence of letting the members of this site down that i am now in a position where i have to make this anoucement. A number of you will be waiting on myself sending you out your copy of my forth comming longnetting book. Due to a delay at the distribution office of the publishers it has taken me far longer than i ever imagined to get hold of your copys. I fully understand that your order was made in good faith and i can only assure you that there has been no intentional plan mislead anyone about the release date. I myself was planing to do a book signing next weekend at the East anglian game fair, this is now looking unlikely so i too will have lost out on a good opitunity to puh the book. However, my biggest concern is for all the members on this site who have already paid and are now waiting. i CAN ASSURE YOU YOUR MONEY AND WITH IT YOUR COPY OF THE BOOK IS SAFE, i just feel bad that i have not hounered my part of what should have been a straight forward transaction. If anyone who has ordered a copy and has concerns, please feel free to pm me and i will give you a phone call and discuss these concerns. All i can do is offer a sincere apology for this delay and thank you for your understanding. regards a rather embaressed Martin Quote Link to post

devonlad 0
Martin, Got a copy yesterday, had a quick look through, but very well laid out, great self explanatory pic's, I feel this has got something for everyone, but invaluable to the novice, or those just getting started and want to know how to get going successfully.. Well done, DL Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
I received Martins book on Monday. As I have been netting for over 20 years, I thought that it would be good to give my opinion of the book from an experienced netters point of view. My first impression when I opened my parcel was that of pleasant surprise at the quality of the book. When I heard that it was coming out in paperback, I had visions of a Mills and Boon type of cover and low quality paper inside. How wrong was I! The cover is laminated and the quality of the paper inside is equal to any hardback book costing nearly twice the price. The layout of the book is excellent, in that each chapter is in a natural easy to follow progression for the total novice. The best part of the book is the fact that each instruction is described in a detailed photo, giving the reader a visual aid. The book dispels many myths and down right lies about long netting, it shows the reader that with a little practice anyone could go long netting. In fact I think the title 'book' is a little misleading. This is more of a definitive manual on the mechanics of long netting. Long Netting From Peg To Peg does what it set out to do. To quote the author, "Nothing is written in stone regarding long netting. There's no right or wrong ways of using a long net as long as you have the basic knowledge and understanding of its operation and mechanics." That is a theme that is repeated throughout the book it's not do as I say, more, this is how I do it, but you can adapt it for yourself. A refreshing relief from the 'this is the only way to do it' authors. TC Edited April 28, 2009 by tiercel Quote Link to post
