Just the right size to, you might come across some bigger stuff while out hunting. She is quick aswell, she has only 1 hare, but that's because there aren't many around my way. The 1/2 and 3/4 cross are used mainly for the foxes and deer, the 3/4 cross is best one for hares. collie/grey 238 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Share Posted May 10, 2006 I think it's just her, she is very laid back, i can't say it's the cross as i haven't seen another 3/8 5/8 collie/grey work. Shes will take fox with another dog, i don't think she has the confidence to do it on her own. When we come across one on the lamp, she will look at it and when let off the slip she will just stand there and stare at it, even if the fox is lamp shy and legs it, she won't chase it. But if we let one of our other lurchers off after it she will deffo join in then, i think it's a case of you go first then i'll help you. lol. Quote Link to post
